Cybersecurity Breakthrough Awards name winners amid a hotly competitive field of global nominees

FOSTER CITY, CA (Nov. 18, 2020) -- Agari, the market share leader in phishing defense solutions for the enterprise, announced today that its email authentication product, Agari Brand Protection™, won Overall Enterprise Email Security Solution of the Year at the 2020 Cybersecurity Breakthrough Awards. Now in its fourth year the Cybersecurity Breakthrough Awards are considered one of industry’s most prestigious recognitions of innovation.

Nominations were evaluated by an expert panel of judges consisting of senior executives with diverse marketing, scientific, academic and business backgrounds who are recognized experts in their fields. Judges scrutinized nominations on six indicators: innovation, performance, ease of use/manageability, functionality, value, and impact.

“It’s an honor to be included in the pantheon of cybersecurity innovators at this year’s Cybersecurity Breakthrough Awards,” said Armen L. Najarian, Chief Identity Officer at email security firm Agari. “Email scams are the preferred method financially-motivated hackers use to breach and compromise companies, because it’s lucrative. As a result, email security has moved into the center of the bullseye as a priority for CISO organizations at the largest companies in the world.”

Agari remains a trailblazer and lead innovator of the use of DMARC through Agari Brand Protection. It won the JPMorganChase Hall of Innovation Award, and has won numerous awards from SC Magazine and other notable industry scions.

Aggregating real-time DMARC statistics from the domains of top banks, social networks, healthcare providers, major government agencies and thousands of other organizations, the Agari Email Threat Center is the largest set of detailed DMARC data in the world in terms of email volume and domains. Data in the Agari Email Threat Center enables us to understand how enforcement rates across industries compare with those of Agari customers.

Agari Brand Protection™ customers outpace the global average in being fully protected against domain spoofing and brand hijacking. Amid a dramatic surge in phishing campaigns impersonating the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), Vanderbilt University Medical Center, Magellan Health, and other healthcare authorities, Agari healthcare customers redoubled their DMARC implementation efforts, climbing to 78% of domains at p=reject enforcement, compared to 68% at the end of 2019—a 10% jump in six months.

Najarian concluded: “Innovation isn’t a choice in the email security industry because the threat landscape is dynamic -- scammers are quick, nimble, and can organize effectively to perpetrate identity-deception-based fraud. Innovation is in our DNA -- from technology to processes. Implementation of DMARC email authentication doesn’t have to be complex. At Agari, through innovation, we’ve simplified the implementation process so that companies can reach full enforcement quickly and easily. When hackers see a company has a DMARC policy, they tend to walk on by, recognizing the company’s brand is unspoofable.”
